He said, ‘We remind everyone that Sheikh Hasina had all the forces in her hands. She had Dordanda Pratap, she had installed her own people in various places. She ran the state with cadres and machetes. But when the people awakened and exploded, was anyone able to protect her?’
Shafiqur Rahman said this at the divisional public meeting of Jamaat-e-Islami at Rangpur District School Grounds on Friday evening. He said, the people who brought about a change at such a cost, the same people will not allow another fascism to be established.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Shafiqur Rahman said, ‘I am hearing many types of conspiracies ahead of the upcoming elections, I am hearing many types of talk on the ground. I am understanding many types of engineering signs.’
He said, ‘We remind everyone that Sheikh Hasina had all the forces in her hands. Dordanda Pratap was powerful, he had installed his own people in various places. He ran the state with cadres. But when the people woke up and exploded, was anyone able to protect them?’
Shafiqur Rahman said this at the divisional public meeting of Jamaat-e-Islami at Rangpur District School Math on Friday evening. He said that the people who brought about a change at such a cost will not allow another fascism to be established.
The party’s Amir Shafiqur Rahman was the chief guest at this public meeting organized by Jamaat’s Rangpur Metropolitan and District branches.
Referring to the attack and vandalism on the police station in Patgram of Lalmonirhat, Shafiqur Rahman said, not only Patgram, but today a group of people has turned the entire country into Patgram. In this situation, fair elections cannot be imagined. He said, ‘How many fundamental reforms must be made for fair elections. We have talked about those reforms. We will implement those reforms as well. We will also hold fair elections, God willing.’
The Jamaat Ameer mentioned that all patriotic and Islamic parties are coming together. He said, if anyone is dreaming of elections during the Awami Fascist era, their dreams will turn into nightmares. No administrative coup will be allowed. No cronyism will be allowed at the polling stations. No black money game will be tolerated.
